The four teams moving on to the APAC Predator League 2024 Playoffs at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, Manila, are decided.
PHILIPPINES – APAC Predator League 2024 has reached its playoff stage following the group stage day.
The US$100,000 event in Manila began with sixteen teams fighting for the trophy, but that pool has now been narrowed down to four each representing their respective groups. Running from January 13–14, the playoffs will feature an initial best-of-one format for the semi-final matches, with a transition to a best-of-three grand final on Sunday. The grand final on Sunday will determine the champions who will claim the coveted US$65,000 first-place prize.
Ascension semi-finalists BOOM Esports had little trouble as they navigated through Group C, starting with a win over ESL Clash of Nations champions Team NKT in their opening match with a score of 13-5 and easing past Bangladesh-based Exceeli Esports 13-1 before taking down ZOL Esports on their home turf 13-6 to advance to the playoffs.
In the semi-finals, the Indonesian representatives are set to face FAV Gaming, with the Japanese side emerging as the leaders of Group A. Kim “TenTen” Tae-young and co. secured their position at the top by overcoming strong opponents such as Oasis Gaming (13-10), NuClear GC (13-10), and Antic Esports (13-7).

As anticipated from the other side of the table, Group D unfolded as expected with VCT Pacific’s Team Secret progressing to the next stage. The hometown favorites navigated through the group by narrowly overcoming No Salary Peek with a score of 13-11 before dominating Todak with a resounding 13-1 victory and silencing Ender Dragon Gaming with a convincing 13-7 score, securing their passage to the playoffs.
Team Secret will be going up against Team Flash from Group C. The Vietnamese representatives secured their spot in the top four by triumphing over Taiwan’s RNKKO Esports with a score of 13-9 and winning a closely contested encounter against ARF Team, which went to the full distance and concluded with a score of 13-11 in favor of Team Flash. They closed out the group stage with a decisive 13-3 victory against HK’s Oblivion Force.
Despite ARF Team having an overall higher round win score, Team Flash, having maintained an undefeated record including against ARF, hold the advantage and progresses to qualify for the next stage.
The match-ups for the playoffs, which will kick off on January 13, look as follows:
- FAV Gaming vs. BOOM Esports
- Team Flash vs. Team Secret
