The dates and venue for VALORANT Game Changers Pacific 2024 have been announced.
THAILAND – Riot Games has announced that Bangkok will host the first VALORANT Game Changers Pacific event, scheduled for October 1-6. The competition will feature eight teams vying for two berths to the GC Championship later this year and a prize pool of $20,000.
This marks the first time an APAC Game Changers event will be held in an offline setting. Bangkok also previously hosted the 2023 VCT Ascension Pacific, where Bleed Esports claimed victory over SCARZ.

VALORANT Game Changers Pacific 2024 will take place at the True5G Pro Hub in Siam Discovery, Bangkok. The event will be open to a limited number of fans, with further details to be provided closer to the dates according to the official announcement. The venue has previously hosted a range of VALORANT activities, including last year’s AfreecaTV VALORANT League Thailand Qualifier and various VCT Pacific watch parties organized by TALON Esports over the years.
The newly announced Game Changers Pacific event will serve as a new qualification pathway to the Game Changers Championship. It will unify the APAC (SEA), Japan, and South Korea circuits under one umbrella, instead of grouping Japan and South Korea into East Asia. Additionally, South Asia and Oceania will have their own separate sub-circuits.
During the first four days of the competition, from October 1–4, eight teams will compete in a group stage featuring a GSL format. The top four teams from the initial pool, which includes Southeast Asia (3), South Asia (1), Japan (2), South Korea (1), and Oceania (1), will advance to the single-elimination playoffs on October 5-6.
Xipto Esports (previously Team SMG) are strongly positioned to qualify for this year’s Game Changers Championship, following their dominant performance in Stage 1 of GC Southeast Asia.
On the other side, the East Asia circuit saw China’s Chao Hui EDG emerge victorious, with ZETA DIVISION GC finishing second. With CN teams out of the picture, ZETA DIVISION GC are also anticipated to be among the top contenders to secure a spot in Bangkok and ultimately compete in the Championship event.
