Bleed Esports’ time in VCT Pacific has been cut short after failing to meet “obligations” and “critical requirements.”
SOUTH KOREA – In a major update for VCT Pacific, Bleed Esports have been removed from the league for not complying with Riot Games’ Team Participation Agreement and other critical requirements as part of the VCT partnered teams. To maintain the 12-team format for next year, Ascension runners-up BOOM Esports will be promoted alongside Ascension winners Sin Prisa Gaming.
“After careful consideration, Riot Games has made the decision to remove Bleed Esports from the VALORANT Champions Tour and VCT Pacific. Bleed Esports was terminated due to its failure to comply with critical reporting requirements and other key obligations under the Team Participation Agreement (TPA). Removal of a team from the Riot Games esports ecosystem is not something we take lightly.
However, due to persistent operational failures of the team, Bleed Esports will no longer participate in VCT Pacific to protect the best interest of the players and the league. The individual players affected were informed of the decision as soon as it was made to allow them to explore other opportunities as quickly as possible.
In line with our commitment to merit-based qualification, Boom Esports, the runner up from Ascension Pacific 2024, will be promoted into the vacated slot. This change does not affect 2025 formats for VCT Pacific; the league will go forward with 12 teams as planned.”
Bleed Esports became the 11th team to join the VCT Pacific League after securing victory at VCT Ascension Pacific 2023 in Bangkok. The Singaporean organization initially kept three core players and brought in Javier “Egoist” Chua and North American star duelist Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker, before making further roster adjustments later on.
BOOM Esports as an organization kicked off in 2016, entering the scene with its first Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster, featuring current Paper Rex player Aaron “mindfreak” Leonhart and its own CEO Gary “Natshuba” Ongko. Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto was part of the team from 2018 to 2020 until BOOM signed the former INTZ roster from Brazil, which included Brazilian star João “felps” Vasconcellos for a year.
