The East Asia Last Chance Qualifier has drawn to a close, with EDward Gaming completing a dominant run in which they did not lose a single map to reign supreme and book themselves a ticket to VALORANT Champions which is set to run in Turkey from September 2-18.
CHINA – EDward Gaming have taken down On Sla2ers 3-0 (Fracture 13-4, Haven 13-11, Split 13-9) in the VCT East Asia Last Chance Qualifier grand final match, qualifying the Chinese side for VALORANT Champions next month. This will be the first international event since VALORANT’s debut two years ago that a Chinese roster will compete in.
The Chinese side did so through the upper bracket without dropping a single map against On Sla2ers, REJECT, and NORTHEPTION to secure a rematch against the former team in the final. Eager to punch their ticket to Champions, EDG kept the winning streak in the grand final, with solid performances from Zheng “ZmjjKK” Yongkang and Qu “Life” Donghao helping to put their squad over the top of Yu “TS” Tae-seok’s men.
