This new iteration of the iconic LaZe tag reunites the Enigma Gaming core that achieved the impressive feat of becoming second runners-up in the 2023 VCL MY/SG Split 1.
SINGAPORE – The former Enigma Gaming quartet have decided to get back together and have already begun the search for an organization interested in supporting their new venture in the upcoming Challengers MY/SG season.
Tidus “STYRON” Goh announced the reunion of the core of Enigma Gaming’s MY/SG roster today, seeing the reunion of himself with Chun Ting “Divine” Yeoh, Ingram “FREY” Tan, and Xan “xan” Ng, along with newcomer Kenji “Kenji” Tang.
The promising five will be playing as LaZe (Long Amazing Zebra Ears), a Singaporean mix-team name that STYRON has used on multiple occasions since his days in Counter-Strike. As previously mentioned, they are now free agents seeking an organization to represent.
STYRON, FREY, and Divine have a storied past sharing the server on multiple occasions over the past few years, first under Enigma Gaming where they also secured the gold medal for Singapore at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games, and then in Huat Zai for the early 2022 MY/SG season that ultimately culminated in a respectable fourth-place finish.
With the addition of xan, this brings back the core of the MY/SG version of Enigma Gaming who found considerable success by making it to the main event of Challengers MY/SG last year and securing third and fourth place in Split 1 and 2, respectively. However, despite that, the organization had to release the team and later close its doors to VALORANT following the end of the season.
Joining the former Enigma Gaming quartet in this new adventure is newcomer Kenji, who is still relatively unknown outside of the MY/SG region with only seven recorded series to his name at the time of this announcement.
LaZe recently debuted their new roster in the Cloudy Tournament Malaysia and Singapore Rivalry, maintaining a flawless record by not conceding a single map against domestic opponents NEXGA and Danial “RedKoh” Hakim’s Kimchi Fried Rice en route to victory.
LaZe are composed of the following five players:
- 🇸🇬 Chun Ting “Divine” Yeoh
- 🇸🇬 Tidus “STYRON” Goh
- 🇸🇬 Ingram “FREY” Tan
- 🇸🇬 Kenji “Kenji” Tang
- 🇲🇾 Xan “xan” Ng
