Hoc Wah “Fayde” Chong is no longer part of JiJieHao, the coach has announced on Twitter.
MALAYSIA – Hoc Wah “Fayde” Chong revealed on Wednesday that he is no longer tied to JiJieHao (Griffin E-Sports) and is now free to discuss offers from interested teams.
The team saw a fair amount of success earlier this year, managing to secure a runners-up spot in VCL HK/TW Split 1, before moving onto the Chinese circuit under the banner of JiJieHao. Fayde stood behind a JJH team headlined by Pong “SiuFatBB” Hei, propelling them to a high of two third-place finishes in the FGC Invitational Act II Open Qualifier Week One and Two, where they scored victories over the likes of Wang “whzy” Haozhe’s Bilibili Gaming, TYLOO, Night Wings Gaming, among others.
The team was on the brink of advancing to the main event twice, as the top two teams each week progressed. However, JiJieHao’s momentum faltered in the succeeding two weeks, placing them within the 5-8th finishes and concluding their FGC run.

Before taking the reins of the Hong Kong-based team, Fayde was most recognized for his tenure with Team Secret. Despite the Filipino team’s downturn post securing a top-eight position in the 2021 VALORANT Champions, Fayde spearheaded their return to form in the latter half of 2022, leading them to third place in the APAC Stage 2 Challengers, fourth in the APAC Last Chance Qualifier, and a respectable run in the OFF//SEASON.
The Malaysian further emphasized his language proficiency in English and Mandarin, and expressed his openness to considering relocation to any region.
Fayde has requested that interested parties reach out via Twitter.
