FULL SENSE punched their ticket to the AfreecaTV VALORANT League after defeating VCL Thailand champions XERXIA 3-2 in the regional qualifier.
THAILAND – FULL SENSE have become the first team to qualify for the AfreecaTV VALORANT League, set to take place in December 5-10, after narrowly getting the better of XERXIA in a hotly-contested five-map series.
In a rematch from the upper-bracket semi-finals, FULL SENSE redeemed themselves with a 3-2 triumph (Lotus 13-6, Ascent 13-9, Bind 6-13, Split 2-13, Fracture 13-5).
FULL SENSE’s qualification comes only a month since the return of Kititkawin “PTC” Rattanasukol and Elamrahim “LAMMYSNAX” Khanpathan after being away for the 2023 season. They are now set to head out to the OFF//SEASON event in Seoul, South Korea. Hosted at the Afreeca Colosseum, the competition will feature eight teams from six different APAC regions.
The Theethawat “Zelyn” Taechavitidkhul-coached squad received an invite to the Thailand qualifier where they quickly dispatched Gelida Esports in the opening round, but fell to the lower bracket after a defeat to XERXIA in the upper-bracket semi-finals.
However, they refused to bow out early and quickly turned their campaign around by winning against Attack All Around, Team NKT, and Made in Thailand without dropping a single map. Their renewed momentum carried them to a 3-2 victory over XERXIA in the grand finals held at True5G Pro Hub in Bangkok, Thailand.
Chanawin “JohnOlsen” Nakchain became the key player in FULL SENSE’s victory, ending the qualifier with an impressive 1.20 VLR rating and averaging 266.2 ACS.
In addition to securing their spot for their first international LAN event since Champions Berlin this coming December, FULL SENSE also claimed the TH฿100,000 (~US$2,804) top reward from the Thailand Qualifier.
Seven more spots are left to be filled, with one of them awaiting announcement as the invited side, VALO2ASIA has learned.
