Global Esports are welcoming back Park “Bazzi” Jun-ki after four months since parting ways.
INDIA – Global Esports have announced the comeback of Park “Bazzi” Jun-ki to their roster for the 2024 season, marking his second tenure with the Indian organization. The previous one saw him compete throughout last year’s inaugural VCT Pacific season, finishing in eighth place.
The announcement of Bazzi’s return came three days before the commencement of the VCT Pacific KICKOFF event on February 17, although Global Esports had been teasing this move as early as January 24.
Having previously been with On Sla2ers and Crazy Raccoon, Park “Bazzi” Jun-ki initially made the move to Global Esports in October 2022 for the inaugural VCT Pacific season. There, he transitioned from his primary role as a Duelist to an Initiator/Flex, a shift that was also taken by many in the team, while Ganesh “SkRossi” Gangadhar assumed the Duelist position.
The strategy of incorporating multiple duelists into the team did not produce the intended outcomes, however, leading to Global Esports ending their campaign prematurely and falling short of the Pacific League playoffs.
Upon his return, Bazzi finds himself in a very different Global Esports from the one he departed from just four months ago as Abhirup “Lightningfast” Choudhury, along with coaching staff members Peter “Spin” Bradford and Morgan “BigTime” Jay, are the only remaining element from the original VCT 2023 lineup, with six players, including Bazzi, having departed since then.
It remains uncertain whether Global Esports will include Bazzi in the starting roster, or if other arrangements will position him as a sixth man or substitute. In the event that Bazzi is called upon to play, logistical concerns are mitigated by the fact that he resides in South Korea, where the VCT Pacific events are scheduled to take place throughout the rest of the year.
The new Global Esports, without Bazzi, have already made their debut at Convergence 2023, securing a 3rd-4th place finish by defeating FURIA Esports but experiencing a loss against Team Vitality in the opening round.
Global Esports now have:
- 🇸🇬 Benedict “Benkai” Tan
- 🇮🇳 Abhirup “Lightningfast” Choudhury
- 🇬🇧 Russel “Russ” Mendes
- 🇮🇩 Gary “blaZek1ng” Dastin
- 🇫🇮 Niko “polvi” Polvinen

- 🇬🇧 Peter “Spin” Bradford (Head coach)
- 🇬🇧 Morgan “BigTime” Jay (Assistant coach)
