RIDDLE now once again sport a full roster with the addition of in-game leader Cho “JoXJo” Byung-yeon.
JAPAN – RIDDLE have finalized their roster with the signing of former DFM and FENNEL player Cho “JoXJo” Byung-yeon, restoring them to full strength with the Korean’s addition as the in-game leader.
Backed by popular Japanese streamer Vodka, RIDDLE VALORANT were formed with the goal of qualifying for the main Challengers Japan circuit. However, their journey in the open qualifier for Split 1 was hindered by the absence of “Maufin” leading to former REJECT player “BinBin” stepping in temporarily.
“I am back for the first place,” JoxJo took to Twitter following his announcement with RIDDLE. The 26-year-old joins the team as a replacement for BinBin, who contributed to the team’s victory in their first two qualifier matches before falling to Murash Gaming in the subsequent qualification match.

JoXJo is no stranger to playing on a Japanese-majority roster, having been a part of three such teams in the region since 2022, during which he qualified for VALORANT Masters Copenhagen with NORTHEPTION and clinched victory in the 2023 VALORANT Challengers Japan Split 1 with FENNEL.
However, his tenure in the tier-one Pacific League was abruptly cut short when DetonatioN FocusMe released him after just two months, with his only participation being in the Riot Games ONE Pro Invitational during the OFF//SEASON.
Teaming up with Korean counterpart Park “Seoldam” Sang-min, who recently returned to the Challengers circuit after a year with DetonatioN FocusMe, JoXJo is set to lead RIDDLE alongside three former ZETA DIVISION Academy players. Among them, Cedye and Yatsuka got a taste of tier-one action alongside the main ZETA roster during the OFF//SEASON at Red Bull Home Ground Tokyo, where they clashed with heavyweights like Cloud9 and FNATIC.
Now with a complete roster in place, RIDDLE will hope to improve upon their past results, while JoXJo will look to reignite his career as one of the most accomplished in-game leaders in the tier-two Japanese scene. Their next opportunity to do so will be to qualify for VALORANT Challengers Japan Split 2 through the Premier route.
