Made in Thailand’s former skipper returns after stepping down in August.
THAILAND – MiTH have announced Sattawut “Leaf” Reathong’s return as the coach of their VALORANT roster.
The new job will see the 29-year-old return behind the team after he departed from MiTH in August following an 18-month tenure and spent the past three months leading domestic rivals Team NKT.
Leaf proved to be a key part of MiTH’s success, as the team have experienced a relative decline in performance since his departure. On the other side of the table, Team NKT soared to new heights in the domestic Thai scene under Leaf’s guidance, capturing victories in the Predator League Thailand 2024 and ESL Clash of Nations 2023.
“Leaf has been the coach since 2022 when we formed this roster,” the announcement reads in Thai. “During that time, we accomplished incredible things, evolving from an unknown team to becoming one of the country’s leading teams. We managed to string together a winning streak of 19 games and secure four championships under Coach Leaf’s guidance.
However, there was a turn of events that led us to part ways. Since then, Coach Leaf has grown and developed a profound philosophy of team building, prompting us to choose to bring him back. It had to be Coach Leaf, who could summon the demons within the MiTH VALORANT team.”
With the return of their former coach, MiTH will be hoping to stabilize after they initially showed promise with a relatively stacked roster where he will be working in tandem with coach Piyangoon “MYM” Kitisin and coach Jirayu “wannafly” Meesuk.
Reuniting with two former teammates, Kantapon “Kadoom” Kingthong and Nantapol “Kongared” Boonying, with whom he previously achieved victory in VCL Thailand Split 1, Leaf also faces the task of familiarizing himself with three new additions: Krit “Kntz” Chaiprasit, Patiphan “CGRS” Posri, and Chinnakrit “Seph1roth” Phoojaroen, as part of the revised roster.
MiTH currently have a clear calendar ahead, granting them an extensive window to prepare and synchronize their strategies with the new roster.
