MiTH explained that “discontinuing our VALORANT team is the best course of action in the current situation.”
THAILAND – MiTH (Made in Thailand), a staple in Southeast Asian VALORANT, is temporarily stepping away from Riot’s FPS after four years, citing “lack of support from the game developer and the complicated team selection system for the league,” according to a statement from the organization.
“This decision was not easy for us, but it is the result of several unavoidable factors. One of the factors is the lack of support from the game developer and the complex team selection system for the league, which has made it difficult for us to navigate. This issue has widely impacted esports teams in Thailand, causing many organizations to disband their teams. Therefore, we believe that suspending our VALORANT team is the best course of action in the current situation.”

MiTH was one of the first organizations in Thailand and Southeast Asia to field a VALORANT team, announcing their original roster in June 2020, the same month the game officially launched, with Patiphan “Patiphan” Chaiwong on the roster. After a break in 2021, MiTH returned in 2022 with a new lineup, qualifying for all three VCT APAC tournaments that year.
Despite their consistency in making it out of the Challengers Thailand circuit in 2022, MiTH’s best finish came in 7th-8th place at the VCT APAC Stage 1 Challengers
In 2023 and 2024, MiTH qualified for the main event of VALORANT Challengers Thailand every time, making the finals each time but missing out on both Ascension events in Bangkok and Jakarta. This included their recent victory in Split 2, although they were ultimately defeated by FULL SENSE in the Ascension Qualifier Series.
Their last appearance was at the recent SOOP VALORANT League 2024, where they surprised fans tier-one opponents, including favorites Talon Esports and Sentinels, to secure a 3rd-4th place finish. Kantapon “Kadoom” Kingthong, who had been with MiTH since early 2022, is the last remaining player from the previous roster, wrapping up his three-year tenure.
As previously mentioned, MiTH has emphasized that this is only a temporary break, and they plan to return when “the right time comes.”
Despite the hiatus, the former MiTH roster still has something to look forward to, as they are set to compete in the main event of VALORANT Challengers SEA Split 1, starting January 16th.
