Explore Champions Across Shanghai - 15 Things to Do Around the City
If you're coming to Shanghai for VALORANT Champions, there is plenty more to experience beyond the matches themselves.
CHINA -- VALORANT events in China often extend far beyond the tournament venue, with parts of the host city turning into a wider VALORANT takeover through pop-ups, brand collaborations, themed restaurants, watch parties, fan events, and large-scale installations.
Champions Shanghai is no different. Between September 24 and October 18, there are at least 15 VALORANT-related places and activities to check out across the city. Some are directly tied to the tournament, while others come through collaborations with local restaurants, cafes, shopping malls, streetwear brands, and entertainment venues.
If this is your first time in China, we've also included the Chinese venue names and addresses wherever possible. Copying the Chinese text directly into DiDi, AMap (Gaode Maps), Apple Maps, or showing it to a taxi driver will usually work better than searching in English.
1. Champions Shanghai Airport Welcome
Location: Hongqiao Airport & Pudong Airport, Domestic Arrivals

The Champs experience can start as soon as you land in Shanghai. Both Hongqiao and Pudong airports have Champions Shanghai advertising and displays around their domestic arrival areas, including Sage and Viper visuals installed specifically for the tournament.
One important note for international travelers: these installations are only at Domestic Arrivals, so you may not necessarily pass them immediately after arriving on an international flight.
But if you're transferring domestically or passing through the terminal, keep an eye out for it.
2. Champions Shanghai Group Stage & Playoffs
Location: Jing'an Sports Center

Dates: September 24 to October 11
This is the main tournament venue for the first half of Champions Shanghai. Jing'an Sports Center hosts the group stage and the opening rounds of the playoffs before the tournament moves to the Mercedes-Benz Arena for Finals Weekend.
Matches begin at 17:00 local time on match days.
If you've never attended an international VCT event before, give yourself extra time before your first visit. Entry can involve ticket verification, identity checks, and security screening, so arriving well before the first match is recommended.
3. VALORANT x BALENCIAGA Concept Internet Cafe
Location: B115, No. 6 Yongyuan Road, Jing'an District

Dates: September 24 to October 18
Closed: September 28-29, October 8-9, October 12-14
Step inside a dedicated VALORANT Champions-themed internet cafe created as part of the VALORANT x BALENCIAGA collaboration.
Visitors can explore the themed space and play VALORANT on-site. General entry is available through an on-site queue, while certain gaming sessions and special activities require advance reservations through official VALORANT China channels.
4. Champions Shanghai Pop-Up & VALORANT Festival

Dates: September 24 to October 18
Jing'an Joy City hosts the dedicated Champions-themed pop-up store.
Inside, you'll find Champions decorations, photo installations, event displays, and limited-edition merchandise. Once you arrive at Jing'an Joy City, look for the South Tower (南座) and head to Level 1.
5. Sage Garden
Location: Qiantan Leisure Park

Dates: September 24 to October 18
One of the most eye-catching Champions installations in Shanghai. A 10-meter-tall Sage statue has been installed inside Qiantan Leisure Park as one of the tournament's major city landmarks.
It is completely free to visit and is primarily designed as a photo spot for fans.
Qiantan is also where several other Champions Finals Weekend activities will take place later in the tournament, so this area becomes particularly worth visiting around October 15-18.
6. VALORANT x DOE Themed Stores

DOE is a Shanghai streetwear retailer, and its collaboration with VALORANT brings Champions-themed apparel, accessories, and retail installations to two stores in the city.
7. POP MART x VALORANT Agent Series Figures
Dates: September 25 to October 18
POP MART's VALORANT collection launches during Champions Shanghai, featuring chibi-style figures of 12 VALORANT agents.
The figures will be available across POP MART stores in Shanghai, but Riot has highlighted three locations in particular.

If you're visiting other parts of Shanghai, you don't necessarily need to travel to one of these three stores. The collection is available at POP MART stores across Shanghai.
8. VALORANT x Haidilao Themed Restaurants
Dates: September 28 to November 1
Haidilao is one of China's biggest hot pot chains, and it is partnering with VALORANT across 147 restaurants nationwide during Champions.
Participating locations will show tournament matches on large screens, while collaboration meal sets include VALORANT-related rewards.
Some locations have been designated as full VCT CN or Champs Shanghai-themed restaurants with additional decorations and fan activities.

For first-time visitors to China, Haidilao is also one of the easier local restaurant experiences to navigate. Many locations are inside major malls, and staff are generally accustomed to serving large numbers of customers.
Search the Chinese branch name rather than only typing "Haidilao," since Shanghai has dozens of locations.
9. BFC Esports Lifestyle Market

During China's National Day Golden Week, Champions expands into full outdoor stalls near the Bund. The event brings together booths from VCT CN teams and international teams, together with team mascots, players, and surprise guests.
It’s a combination of a fan festival, merchandise market, watch party, and team meet-up area. The market area itself is open to everyone, although some team fan events and watch parties may require separate registration through the teams' official accounts.
10. VALORANT x Speak Low Themed Bar

Champions also takes over one of Shanghai's best-known cocktail bars Speak Low will feature Champions-themed decorations throughout the event, with special Viper and Sage cocktails available starting October 5.
Entry is through an on-site queue. Visitors should also be aware that this is a bar, so standard age restrictions apply
11. VALORANT Market at RED LAND Shanghai

International Collegiate Invitational: October 2-3
VALORANT will have a dedicated area at RED LAND Shanghai, an ACGN event hosted by social media platform RedNote. Taking place during Champions Shanghai, the area will feature a range of activities, including the Killjoy Creative Workshop, Wingman Shop, and an international collegiate VALORANT competition on stage. This is a ticketed event.
12. MANNER Coffee x Champions Shanghai
Dates: October 8 to 14
MANNER is one of China's largest homegrown coffee chains. During Champions, more than 3,000 MANNER stores nationwide will switch to Champions-themed packaging. Two Shanghai locations will also become full Champions-themed stores.

The Qiantan location is particularly convenient if you're already visiting the giant Sage installation or other Finals Weekend activities in the area.
13. Champions Shanghai Semifinals & Grand Final

Dates: October 16 to 18
For the final three days, Champions moves from Jing'an Sports Center to the much larger Mercedes-Benz Arena in Pudong.
The venue hosts both semifinals and the Grand Final, where the 2026 VALORANT world champion will be crowned. The Mercedes-Benz Arena is located close to the Huangpu River and is also relatively close to the Qiantan area, where several other Champions activations will be running.
14. FF Global Champions Fan Party & Market

Champions Avenue

Dates: October 17 to 18
Qiantan becomes one of the main Champions fan districts during Finals Weekend. The area will host a larger fan gathering featuring markets, stages, offline activities, and additional Champions installations.
If you're attending the final weekend, it may be worth setting aside a few hours to explore Qiantan before heading directly to the arena. Entry is free and available through an on-site queue. More details are still to be announced.
15. VALORANT Sound
Location: Echo Land, Qiantan

Dates: October 16 to 17
If you want something more nightlife-focused during Finals Weekend, Champions is also hosting a special EDM event in Qiantan.
The SOUND Champions Special Stop is essentially a Champions-themed EDM party, separate from the competitive matches and daytime fan activations.
This is a ticketed event. Ticket release details will be announced through official VALORANT channels.
More Champions Shanghai Activations Are Coming
These aren't necessarily the only VALORANT activities you'll find during Champions. There are a few more activations beyond what we've listed here, but most are specifically focused on VALORANT Mobile or the collegiate events.
More locations and activations are expected to be announced as the tournament progresses, particularly around Finals Weekend from October 15 to 18.
