Ho Chi Minh City to host VCT Pacific Stage 1 Finals 2026
Ho Chi Minh City will play host to the VCT Pacific Stage 1 Finals this year.
VIETNAM – Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam will host the VCT Pacific Stage 1 Finals this May, Riot Games announced during today’s press conference in Seoul. It will be the first time a tier-one VCT Pacific event is held in Southeast Asia, and the first in Vietnam, following Seoul as the league’s hub city and Tokyo’s finals roadshow stop last year.
“This will be our first official tier-1 VCT event in Vietnam and I’m so excited to bring VCT Pacific to a new region within APAC.
Bringing an event to Vietnam has actually been on our minds for quite some time. Our Vietnamese community and viewers have been growing extremely rapidly over the past few years. In fact, Vietnamese is now one of our top 5 languages in terms of VCT viewership. We’re also noticing that a ton of talent has been growing from the region, and crazyguy, who won the IGL of the year last year is the prime example, and it’s not just crazyguy either. The region has always had great amateur players, and just recently Fancy United winning the APAC Predator League two weeks ago was a great showcase of Vietnamese talent. It really means a lot that we’re able to host two roadshows this year in multiple regions. And as we saw from Stage 2 Finals last year in Tokyo, our fans love roadshows and have really shown up to support our teams and players to express their fandom, so we want to continue offering the hyped experiences that our community has grown to love and to expect from us.
Apart from the usual nail-bitting matches as always, fans can expect activities, interactive spaces, and exclusive merchandise, and more at these events.”
Ho Chi Minh City previously hosted the VALORANT Challengers SEA Split 3 Playoffs in August last year at the VPS Arena, featuring Motiv Esports, FULL SENSE, NAOS Esports, and Team NKT. Motiv Esports went on to win the event, defeating the Challengers roster of FULL SENSE 3-1 in the grand finals.
In addition to Ho Chi Minh City, Busan in South Korea has also been confirmed as the host city for the VCT Pacific Stage 2 Finals later this September, as previously announced in the Developer Update.
More information on the venue, schedule, and ticket sales is expected closer to the event.
