Team Secret add Zeus from Oasis Gaming

Zeus joins from Oasis Gaming but will only be available for Team Secret starting Week 4 of VCT Pacific Stage 1.

PHILIPPINESTeam Secret have officially secured the signing of Jhian “Zeus” Vega from Challengers SEA outfit Oasis Gaming, adding one of the Philippines’ most promising young duelists to their ranks ahead of the remainder of the 2026 season.

However, Zeus will not be immediately available for Team Secret’s opening matches in VCT Pacific Stage 1. The 17-year-old is set to become eligible only once he reaches the minimum age requirement of 18 on April 19, 2026. That means his debut for Team Secret is expected to come in Week 4 of Stage 1, when the team face Masters Santiago champions Nongshim RedForce, before taking on Gen.G in the following week.

That leaves Team Secret with an unresolved question heading into the start of their campaign: who will occupy the fifth slot for the first three matches of the season against DRX, Global Esports, and Paper Rex. Still, a report by Tanmay of Sheep Esports has indicated that HARU Esports duelist Dwine “Rimuru” Enriquez is expected to temporarily fill the role until Zeus becomes eligible to play.

Zeus arrives at Team Secret after steadily building his name across the Philippine and Southeast Asian tier-two circuit. He first began drawing attention during VALORANT Challengers Philippines Split 2 in 2024 with Avernus Esports. Although Avernus only managed a seventh-place finish, Zeus quickly stood out as one of the tournament’s brightest individual performers. Across 457 rounds, he posted the third-highest average combat score in the event at 255.7, while also maintaining an average 1.15 VLR rating.

Those performances soon earned him a move to Oasis Gaming, where he continued to develop into one of the region’s more notable duelist prospects. During his stint with Oasis, the team found solid domestic success, claiming the title in Locked N’ Loaded Philippines Split 1 before following it up with a runner-up finish in Split 2. They also made a respectable showing at the regional level, placing 3rd-4th in the group stage of VALORANT Challengers SEA Split 3.

Oasis’ momentum carried over into the end of the year as well. The team captured the Predator League Philippines 2026 title, booking themselves a spot at the APAC Predator League in New Delhi as the country’s representative. While their international run ended earlier than hoped with a 9th-12th place finish, the campaign was notable to put here as it gave Zeus’ international LAN debut.

From the beginning of his competitive career, Zeus has largely been recognized for his comfort on high-impact duelist agents. Neon has been his signature pick, accounting for 37% of his agent usage, while much of the remainder of his pool has been spread across Jett, Raze, Yoru, and others. That profile makes him a natural addition for a Team Secret side looking to inject more much-needed firepower into their lineup, filling in the void left by Kim "TenTen" Tae-young.

The move comes at a crucial point for Team Secret, who are attempting to recover from what was their worst result yet in Pacific competition. At VCT Pacific Kickoff, the team crashed out in last place after losses to Nongshim RedForce, DetonatioN FocusMe, and ZETA DIVISION, a showing that raised serious concerns over the roster’s direction heading into the rest of the season.

Their road in Stage 1 will not get any easier. Team Secret were drawn into Alpha Group, a side widely viewed as stacked with top-tier contenders. Whether the late addition in Stage 1 will be enough to spark a turnaround in one of Pacific’s toughest groups remains to be seen
