CHINATitan Esports Club have announced the signing of Tang “Muggle” Shijun from Bilibili Gaming as their new aim coach, while also permanently promoting Chen “ra1ny” Baohuan from their academy setup to the active roster ahead of VCT CN Stage 2.

The arrival of Muggle marks a notable addition to TEC’s coaching staff, especially given his pedigree in Chinese VALORANT. His move from a head coaching role at Bilibili Gaming to a more specialized aim coach position at TEC will see him reunite with familiar faces from his EDward Gaming days, including player Guo “Haodong” Haodong and head coach Lo “AfteR” Wen-hsin.

Muggle is best known for his long stint with EDward Gaming from 2022 to 2025, where he was part of the coaching staff that helped shape the team into one of China’s most successful VALORANT sides. During his time as assistant coach and eventually head coach later on with EDG, the team became a consistent international presence, dominated domestically, and ultimately lifted the VALORANT Champions 2024 trophy in Seoul, marking China’s first world championship title in VALORANT.

Meanwhile, ra1ny’s permanent promotion gives TEC a six-man lineup heading into the second half of the season. The player has already had opportunities with the main roster this year, appearing for TEC in CN Evolution Series Act 1 and later standing in for Lu “lucas” Yunkun during the Esports World Cup China Qualifier.

Role-wise, ra1ny was mostly seen on Duelist agents and Omen during his appearances, giving TEC another flexible option to work with as they prepare for Changsha. However, it remains unclear how the team plan to use their expanded roster or whether ra1ny will immediately contend for a starting spot in VCT CN Stage 2.

The changes come after an inconsistent first half of the season for Titan Esports Club. TEC finished 9-10th at Kickoff and later placed 7-8th in Stage 1, leaving them outside the top tier of VCT CN contention. Still, the team showed more promise outside the main league, finishing third in the Esports World Cup China Qualifier and narrowly missing out on a spot at the international event. They also ended CN Evolution Series Act 2 in second place.

Heading into Changsha, Titan Esports Club have been placed in Group Omega alongside Wolves Esports, Dragon Ranger Gaming, Xi Lai Gaming, Bilibili Gaming, and All Gamers for the VCT CN Stage 2 group stage from July 9-20.
