TYLOO crowned 2026 VCT CN Champions, set for Champions Shanghai alongside JDG, EDG, XLG
The VCT CN season concluded in Chengdu with TYLOO lifting the trophy and all four Champions Shanghai seeds confirmed.
CHINA – TYLOO have been crowned the 2026 VCT CN season champions after defeating JDG 3-1 in the Grand Finals of VCT CN Stage 2 in Chengdu on August 23.
With the win, TYLOO secured the No. 1 seed from China heading into VALORANT Champions Shanghai. JDG will enter as the region’s second seed, while EDward Gaming and Xi Lai Gaming will represent VCT CN as the third and fourth seeds, respectively.
The road to the title began at Chengbei Gymnasium, where Bilibili Gaming, Nova Esports, TYLOO, Xi Lai Gaming, All Gamers, Titan Esports Club, JDG Esports, and Trace Esports advanced through the Stage 2 Play-Ins and into the playoffs.
After the opening three days of playoff action, six teams remained in contention and moved to the Chengdu Financial City Performing Arts Center for the final stretch of the event, with both the VCT CN season title and spots at Champions Shanghai on the line.
The tournament culminated on August 23 with TYLOO and JDG meeting in the Grand Final. TYLOO came out on top 3-1 to lift the 2026 VCT CN championship trophy, while slowly was named Finals MVP.
The result finalized VCT CN’s four representatives for Champions Shanghai:
- No. 1 seed: TYLOO
- No. 2 seed: JDG
- No. 3 seed: EDward Gaming
- No. 4 seed: Xi Lai Gaming
The tournament was also accompanied by a number of fan and community activations across Chengdu.
From August 20-21, the Chengdu Art Museum hosted a VCT CN pixel-bead art activity, giving fans the chance to create and share their own VALORANT-inspired pieces.
Eastern Suburb Memory also featured a massive VCT CN graffiti wall from August 19-23, blending VALORANT esports with street and youth culture while becoming one of the event’s main photo spots.
Several international streamers and media outlets traveled to Chengdu for the event as well, experiencing the VCT CN crowd firsthand and sharing the atmosphere with overseas audiences through livestreams and social media.
The Chengdu stop also featured a wider series of activities connecting esports, music, gaming culture and tourism, held alongside the first anniversary of VALORANT Mobile.
Eastern Suburb Memory was transformed into an immersive VALORANT Mobile-themed space featuring interactive installations, music events, capsule-toy giveaways and limited merchandise.
The V26 VALORANT Tour Music Party, “VALORANT SOUND 音脉共振,” was held at the Zhenghuo Art Center, bringing together VALORANT, live music, visual art and immersive experiences.
The wider campaign also extended to several destinations across Chengdu and Sichuan, including Jianmen Pass, Dujiangyan, Jinli, Jiuzhaigou, Kuanzhai Alley, Mount Qingcheng and Mengding Mountain, creating a tourism route that connected VALORANT with some of the area’s best-known attractions.
With the VCT CN season now complete, attention turns to Champions Shanghai.
TYLOO will look to carry their domestic title-winning form onto the international stage, while JDG will make their own push for a breakthrough run. EDward Gaming and Xi Lai Gaming will also return to international competition as China looks to make another deep run on home soil.
