VALORANT Game Changers SEA Split 1 begins soon, teams finalized
The 2026 season of VALORANT Game Changers SEA Split 1 is kicking off next week! Here’s everything you need to know about the tournament.
SOUTHEAST ASIA – VALORANT Game Changers SEA is set to return next week from March 7-23, with eight of the best Southeast Asian teams competing for a US$10,000 prize pool after battling through the Open Qualifiers.
The Swiss Stage Open Qualifiers saw 48 registered teams battling it out over three days of play, eventually whittling them down to the final eight teams that will qualify for Split 1. Players are required to be at least Ascendant 1 to participate in the tournament.
Prominent teams and names from Game Changers Pacific are making their return. Fan favourite team Falcons Vega have been spotted playing with Kelly "shirazi" Jaudian of Nova Esports GC to complete their roster. This move will reunite shirazi with her fellow Xipto GC and Team SMG GC teammates, Alexandria "Alexy" Francisco, Odella "enerii" Abraham, and Camille "Kamiyu" Enriquez.
The GC Pacific 2025-winning Xipto GC squad have unfortunately been split up despite their intention to stick together to find a new home in 2026. Saudi Arabian organization Stallions Lyra have picked up Xipto GC trio Mary "capriciouS" Sabado, Loraine "Kon" Pagente, and Kim "PIETY" Guia. Meanwhile, Leanne "grahams" Ti-in is now playing under the Twisted Minds Orchid banner in Game Changers EMEA whereas Surassawadee "yxqme" Khongpechdee has joined Nuclear Zone GC.
Other noteworthy players include ex-Team SMG GC player Elyse “elyse” Lim who is now under Team HAQ, along with gogu who is now playing with Azure GC after competing in the North America region with QoR Esports GC.
