The bracket for the VCT Indonesia Stage 1 Challengers Playoffs has been set, featuring a number of intriguing matchups.

INDONESIA — BOOM Esports were the first team to book a spot in the next stage after defeating Team Frog and Bigetron Arctic in the best-of-three stages, continuing a strong run that has seen them stay in the top ten of VLR.gg’s APAC rankings since early last year. The Gary “blaZek1ng” Dastin-led side were followed by ONIC Esports, who recently just lifted a trophy in the 2021 SEA Esports Championship.

The first round of the playoffs will be kickstarted by a mouth-watering clash between Alter Ego and Bigetron Arctic. On the opposite side of the bracket resides BOOM Esports, who will be facing Dewa United in the first round.

BOY WITH LOVE's banner has been resurrected, and the group is now comprised of a ragtag group of Indonesia's upper-echelon players. They will face off against BEAST, from which the victor will move on to a grueling test against either Alter Ego or Bigetron Arctic.

MORPH Impact, however, have been eliminated in the group stage as they struggled to live up in the cutthroat competitive environment.

Three spots in the APAC Challengers Playoffs will be up for grabs. The eight qualified teams will battle it out in a double-elimination bracket from Wednesday, February 23. All matches will utilize a best-of-three (BO3) format, with the exception of the grand final, which will be played in a best-of-five (BO5) format.
