Previous matchups: Previous matchups:
vs. Paper Rex (LOSS 0-2) vs. Team Secret (WIN 2-0)
vs. Talon Esports (WIN 2-0) vs. DetonatioN FocusMe (WIN 2-1)
vs. Global Esports (WIN 2-1) vs. Rex Regum Qeon (WIN 2-0)
vs. FURIA (LOSS 0-2) vs. LOUD (LOSS 0-2)

They have had countless matchups in the LCK, and this will be the eighth time these two organizations face each other in VALORANT if we count their time competing in the North American region. However, this will be the first encounter between these two teams this season with Asian lineups. With both organizations having a storied history in esports, this will be an exciting encounter for fans of both sides.

Gen.G have been on a roll recently, having secured victories against Rex Regum Qeon, DetonatioN FocusMe, and Team Secret in the past three weeks. Yu "TS" Tae-seok and co. have shown remarkable improvement and growth, which has led to discussions about their ability to even close their gap with DRX, the current top seed in Korea.

On the other hand, T1 have been looking strong as well, but perhaps not to the same degree as Gen.G. The team has been consistent but has shown some signs of vulnerability. Last week, Joseph "ban" Seungmin Oh underperformed against Paper Rex, raising questions about the effectiveness of T1's six-man roster configuration and whether moving forward with Kang "iNTRO" Seung-gyun as a permanent fifth is a solution.

For the second match on Sunday, we will witness a Japanese derby between ZETA DIVISION and DetonatioN FocusMe, adding another exciting element to the day's proceedings besides the Korean derby.

As we head into Week 4, there are question marks surrounding the form of DetonatioN FocusMe, as they are yet to win a single series so far since their formation late last year. Although they managed to take a map off Gen.G in Week 2, their confidence may have taken a hit following their Week 3 matchup against RRQ, especially with Seo "Suggest" Jae-young struggling to find his form and ending up with a mere 137 ACS across the two maps (Haven 4-13, Pearl 7-13).

Despite the team's struggles, Suggest remains a crucial player for DetonatioN FocusMe, often carrying the team on his shoulders. He posted impressive stats of 307 and 289 ACS during games against Gen.G and Paper Rex, respectively, but unfortunately, his stellar performances were not enough to secure victories for the team.

Getting a win in this upcoming match is crucial for ZETA DIVISION, especially as they set their sights on securing a spot in the Masters Tokyo tournament. It would be disappointing for everyone if there were no Japanese teams in Tokyo later this June, so ZETA DIVISION needs to maintain their level of play. Yuma "Dep" Hashimoto will also need to bring his A-game once again if they want to secure the win.
