Wolves round off their roster for Stage 1 with the signing of rookie player glacier.

CHINA – Wolves Esports have officially welcomed Liang “glacier” Zhe-Kai, completing their CN Stage 1 roster on the day of the tournament. His addition to the team was teased by his cousin Liu “Spring” Chun-ting yesterday during the pre-event press conference in Hangzhou.

Prior to his foray into Tier 1, glacier showed remarkable potential. Being no stranger to topping the leaderboard stats-wise, he has won multiple third-party tournaments such as the Taoyuan Esports Festival 2025 and the Taiwan National Youth Championship 2025 x KAOHSIUNG ESPORTS SHOWDOWN. During his stint with GOOD BOY, he was even teammates with current FunPlus Phoenix player Ou "Setrod" Tai-keng.

As of the time of writing, it is still unclear if glacier will be part of the starting lineup or act as the sixth man. However, according to Wolves Head Coach Chong “Fayde” Hoc Wah, the team's latest rookie is expected to take up the Duelist mantle. "glacier is a very exciting prospect and I’m extremely delighted to be coaching him, I’m glad we’ve finally found the right duelist to complete our 2026 roster," Fayde says.

Lately, WOL have been struggling to find their footing domestically. The squad finished in 11-12th place at CN Stage 2 last year, followed by a 9-10th place finish at CN Kickoff in Guangzhou this year.

However, with their recent roster adjustments, Wolves Esports are looking to turn things around and hopefully recreate their admirable performance at Masters Toronto, their last international appearance where they clinched a Top 3 finish.

VCT CN Stage 1 begins on March 31 in Hangzhou, China and Wolves’ first game will be against Trace Esports on April 2.
