Orangutan announce Ember signing

Orangutan have announced that they have finalized their roster with the addition of former Revenant Esports player Garvit “Ember” Nehra

INDIA – Orangutan have announced the signing of Garvit “Ember” Nehra after coming to an agreement with Revenant Esports for the transfer of the Controller player. Ember’s arrival brings Orangutan’s roster to six players after Arsyad “aduka” Sazali was acquired earlier this month to replace Yang “Persia” Zi-on.

Prior to signing his new contract with Orangutan, Ember filled in for True Rippers in the Skyesports Pro Invitational, where he put on an impressive display versus Orangutan. The 24-year-old helped Simar “psy” Sethi and co. reach the quarter-finals with victories over Orangutan, Medal Esports, and Reckoning Esports.

The move sees Ember reunite with Vibhor, with whom he competed under the District 9 banner in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive two years ago. The duo most notably competed in the eXTREMESLAND 2019 South Asia Regional Finals and the Dew Arena 2019 LAN tournament.

Ember is the first-ever domestic addition to the Orangutan lineup after adding MYSG trio Arsyad “aduka” Sazali, as well as Mathanraj “theDoctorr” Munisparan and Felipe “skyeSG” Lim to the coaching staff earlier this month. It remains unknown, though, how the six-man roster composition will play out for Orangutan.

With Ember officially a part of the team, Orangutan will now focus their attention on the TEC Challenger Series 8 Group Stage. There, the team will take on the likes of Anaadi Army today for the lion’s share of an IN₹1,500,000 prize pool, with the tournament slated to play out from July 26 to August 14.

With the addition of Ember, Orangutan are:

  • 🇮🇳 Vibhor “Vibhor” Vaid
  • 🇮🇳 Prabhdeep “Ghost” Bhatia
  • 🇮🇳 Garvit “Ember” Nehra
  • 🇵🇰 Mustafa “shooterR” Kamal
  • 🇵🇭 Jm “tesseract” Ignacio
  • 🇲🇾 Arsyad “aduka” Sazali
  • 🇲🇾 Mathanraj “theDoctorr” Munisparan (Coach)
  • 🇸🇬 Felipe “skyeSG” Lim (Analyst)
