Rex Regum Qeon enter Game Changers with AE Celeste quartet

This marks the organization’s second all-female team signing after fielding Mobile Legends: Bang Bang female squad ‘RRQ Mika’

INDONESIA – Rex Regum Qeon makes its first entry into the competitive Game Changers landscape, having locked down four former Alter Ego Celeste players. Two-fourths of the Alter Ego Celeste core signed by RRQ is the duo comprised of July “Eisberg” Kusuma and Nurul “Ayumiii” Aini, who were part of the Celeste squad that dominated the Game Changers circuit for three years, including the better part of 2022 when Nabila “nabbsky” Sulthana filled in the void with the departure of Ryona “Tarathiel” Tan.

Meanwhile, Tiara “Alluka” Pleno is well-known in the upper reaches of the Southeast Asian Game Changers scene, as the 24-year-old represented the Nigma Galaxy Female/Galaxy Racer Female roster for more than a year, famously finishing second in the 2021 VCT Game Changers SEA Open 5 and 6 and fourth in the following SEA Elite tournament.

The four all recently departed their former home after the team’s first trophyless VCT tournament in Game Changers APAC Elite 2022. Defeats at the hands of X10 Sapphire twice in the finals saw AE Celeste fail to qualify for the global Championship event in Berlin, Germany.

Unfortunately, the only player who will not be moving to RRQ is Odella “enerii” Abraham, as Alter Ego reportedly set an unfavorable release clause of US$100,000 for the player, preventing her from finding a team for the entire duration of 2023. The Jakarta-based organization did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

RRQ Kaguya are yet to announce the final two players, although it is expected to happen before the team starts competing in VCT Game Changers 2023. They are still on the lookout for the final pair, with the requirements including the ability to relocate to Indonesia, tournament experience, fluency in English, and being above the age of 16.

RRQ Kaguya are:

  • 🇮🇩 July “Eisberg” Kusuma
  • 🇲🇾 Nurul “Ayumiii” Aini
  • 🇮🇩 Nabila “nabbsky” Sulthana
  • 🇵🇭 Tiara “Alluka” Pleno
