Riot Games has donated to more than 450 organizations spanning 28 countries, distributing a total of US$50 million through its Social Impact Fund.
UNTIED STATES — Riot Games has announced that it has crossed a milestone of US$50 million in donations over the past three years via the Social Impact Fund.
“Our main goal for the Social Impact Fund is to address deeply systemic issues and behavioral change through our stated priorities: Education, Opportunity, Citizenship, and Sustainability. To do this, we identify unique theories that can make a long-lasting, evidence-based impact in the area they’re trying to support. This approach takes time, research, and project co-development, but we believe it leads to the most impactful results.”
The Social Impact Fund is Riot’s nonprofit engine for its collective efforts for global social impact. In partnership with ImpactAssets, the fund allows players to have a much deeper reach to help more people in a lasting way. The majority of funding raised is used for player-selected causes and nonprofits.

For VALORANT, the Give Back Bundle has become an annual tradition and has raised nearly $15M over the last three years. For the first year, players voted to bring back some of their favorite skins with 50% of the proceeds from skins and 100% from accessories going to the fund. In their first major fundraising event, VALORANT nearly matched the 2021 campaign across the Runeterra-based titles by raising $5.5M for the fund in year one.
The program has raised US$50M and supported more than 450 organizations in 28 regions to date, with three different nonprofits available for voting in each region. The nonprofit that received the most votes got 50% of that region’s pool and the other two organizations each received 25%. Every single organization on the list is guaranteed to receive at least $10,000.
