Sha “ZesBeeW” Mohtar makes his return to the MY/SG region, now leading a new roster of Rival Esports.
SINGAPORE – Rival Esports, widely known for its Brawl Stars roster, has officially entered the VALORANT scene with a team featuring familiar names from Singapore. The most noteworthy of the five names are Sha “ZesBeeW” Mohtar and Steven “Reverie” Kang.
ZesBeeW comes fresh off a successful run with BOOM Esports, where he helped the Indonesian team clinch the VALORANT Challengers Indonesia Split 2 title and make it to the grand finals of VCT Ascension Pacific Jakarta, narrowly losing in a dramatic and hard-fought match. It has also been confirmed that the 25-year-old will take on the role of in-game leader for this new project.
Reverie, along with other teammates, has had his fair share of experiences in the scene playing with a number of different stacks. Reverie previously had stints with Louvre in 2023 and Kizuna Esports in 2024, while Venneth “Inf” Tay competed with The Mongs in 2023 and Ninjas in Galaxy alongside duelist Muhammad “persona11” Khairulrizal in 2024.

The aforementioned trio also played together as Teletubbies, where they finished in second place in several MY/SG community tournaments in the past six months, including the PRIME BATTLE VALORANT Tournament 2024 and the Berryfam Salty Tournament Season 3.
Rounding out the roster is up-and-coming “twelve”, who also competed alongside persona11 under the Nobody in Paris banner at the Vortex Hidden Gem community tournament.
“I’m extremely thrilled to announce the signing of Rival Esports VALORANT roster. Since 2022, we’ve worked to empower players and grow esports, and now we’re bringing that passion to VALORANT, all from our little red dot,” Rival’s Geraint “Akuna” Chay stated. “We’re excited to announce this project as part of our efforts to strengthen the Southeast Asian and even Singaporean esports community. Looking forward to an exciting VCL 2025 season,” Gabriel “Jarvis” Tan added on Twitter.
Rival Esports is currently competing in the BREAKPOINT MY/SG 2025 tournament, where only the winning team will earn a spot in the Open Qualifier for VALORANT Challengers SEA Split 1.
