The transfer of Bryan “Kush” Setiawan from Alter Ego to RRQ has been officially confirmed.
INDONESIA – Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ) have announced the addition of Bryan “Kush” Setiawan to their roster. The Indonesian player has been brought in to fill the gap left by Hagai “Lmemore” Tewuh, who was given the green light to explore other opportunities in August and was officially released earlier this week.
Having made a name for himself with Alter Ego since late 2021, Kush as an Initiator player has been turning heads with his promising performances in the tier-two Challengers Indonesia scene over the past three years.

In 2023, Kush also represented Indonesia at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games, where he achieved the highest average ACS in the tournament at an impressive 249.9. Although Alter Ego’s run in Challengers that season didn’t meet expectations, finishing third in the Ascension-qualifying Split 2 tournament, Kush went on to compete in the Red Bull Campus Clutch 2023 in Istanbul with GARUDA, where he and his team clinched the championship. He was the only player Alter Ego retained for the next season, while his collegiate teammates joined him in the organization.
A victory in the 2024 VALORANT Challengers Indonesia Split 1 tournament positioned them as strong contenders for Ascension this year, with Kush individually shining as the third-highest-rated player in the tournament with a rating of 1.16 and boasting the highest clutch win percentage at 32%.
However, a dramatic finish in the grand finals of Split 2 saw them miss out on qualifying for Ascension Pacific Jakarta, losing 2-3 to domestic rivals and eventual Ascension finalists BOOM Esports. In that tournament, Kush was the team’s top-rated player once again with a VLR rating of 1.13, ranking among the top five performers.
This transfer marks Kush’s first chance to level up his career to the tier-one league after three years of playing with the same organization. For RRQ, the arrival of Kush represents a significant boost in firepower as they look to improve on their 5-6th place finish in VCT Pacific 2024.
Currently, RRQ have one OFF//SEASON tournament lined up for this month at the Red Bull Home Ground APAC Play-In in Tokyo on October 19-20.
RRQ now have:
- 🇮🇩 David “xffero” Monangin
- 🇮🇩 Cahya “Monyet” Nugraha
- 🇰🇷 Park “Estrella” Gun
- 🇷🇺 Maksim “Jemkin” Batorov
- 🇮🇩 Bryan “Kush” Setiawan
- 🇿🇦 Marthinus “Ewok” Walt (Head coach)
- 🇺🇸 Evan “Warbirds” Olzem (Assistant coach)
