RRQ will head to VCT Masters Toronto as Pacific’s first seed following their grand finals win over Gen.G at the 2025 VCT Pacific Stage 1.
SOUTH KOREA – Indonesia’s Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ) have claimed their first-ever Pacific title after defeating Gen.G 3-1 in the grand finals of the 2025 VCT Pacific Stage 1. With this victory, RRQ not only hoist their inaugural trophy but also secure the region’s top seed heading into VCT Masters Toronto next month.
Right after their historic win in Seoul, every member of RRQ—including players and coaches—joined the press for a post-match press conference to reflect on their journey and answer questions.
The full 16-minute session is now available to watch on the VALO2ASIA YouTube channel. Looking ahead, VALO2ASIA also plans to livestream post-match press conferences during VCT Masters Toronto.

Ngô “crazyguy” Công Anh’s men topped Group Omega in the group stage with wins over TALON, ZETA DIVISION, and T1, while falling short against Nongshim RedForce and Team Secret.
Their playoff run, starting deeper in the bracket as the top seed, kicked off with a close win over DRX 2-1. However, their momentum was briefly halted in the upper bracket, where they were handed a reality check by Gen.G, who swept them aside with a clinical and one-sided performance 2-0, sending the Indonesian squad to the lower bracket.
Their next challenge in the face of elimination came in the form of Paper Rex, who were on a long winning streak. What followed was an electrifying five-map thriller—one of the most intense series of the tournament. Both teams pushed each other to the limit, but it was RRQ who prevailed 3-2 to earn a shot at redemption in a rematch against Gen.G in the Sunday grand finals.

The grand finals opened on Haven, where Gen.G looked dominant early, taking the map 13-8 and reminding everyone why they had swept RRQ just days prior. However, RRQ came out swinging on the next map of Ascent, surging to a commanding 9-0 lead. Gen.G attempted a second-half comeback on the defensive side, even stringing together several rounds in a row. Despite that, RRQ held firm, clutching out crucial rounds late in the game to take the map 13-11 and level the series 1-1.
Lotus was up next and proved to be another back-and-forth affair in the early stages. But once RRQ switched to defense, their coordination and utility usage suffocated Gen.G’s attacks. The map ended 13-9 in favor of RRQ, putting them just one win away from the title.
The decisive map was Icebox, picked by RRQ. The first half was as tight as it gets, ending in a 6-6 stalemate. Gen.G showed signs of a comeback, desperately fighting to stay alive. But Maksim “Jemkin” Batorov and Cahya “monyet” Nugraha rose to the occasion, particularly in defense. Their dominance proved too much to handle, and RRQ closed out the map 13-11 to win the series 3-1.

With their victory, RRQ have officially secured the top seed for VCT Masters Toronto, granting them a direct spot in the eight-team double-elimination playoff bracket.
This means they’ll bypass the Swiss Stage entirely, joining the Stage 1 winners from the other international leagues along with the top four teams emerging from the Swiss Stage. It also gives them extra time to prepare and get settled in Toronto, where they’ll make their international debut.
