The Indian powerhouse is looking to return to the South Asian VALORANT scene and sign its own team.
INDIA – S8ul Esports hopes to return to competitive VALORANT should “everything goes right”, the organization’s manager Siddhant “Sid” Joshi has revealed
Best known for its PUBG Mobile/BGMI Esports achievements and content creation, S8ul Esports first entered the scene in early March by signing a new roster featuring the core of the Innocent 5 lineup that had just won the inaugural edition of the Logitech x Loco Battlezone tournament. The team caught the attention of S8ul Esports in the aforementioned tournament after taking down the likes of Tejas “Rexy” Kotian’s XTZ Esports and Global Esports en route to the team’s first significant trophy, which prompted the organization to sign the roster not long after.

However, the squad then struggled to impress in their first two tournaments together, as they finished fourth in the SKWAD Invitational Season 2 and 5th-6th in The Esports Club Invitational Season 3. The results saw S8ul Esports pull the plug on the division in just two months. Despite the setback, the lineup would continue to stick together in hopes of progressing as an up-and-coming squad under the T69 banner.
Unexpectedly, S8ul re-entered the game in late 2021 in a move that only lasted for three months as it vanished from the scene afterwards.
Now, they are looking to step into competitive VALORANT for the third time in two years, but no concrete moves have been made beside a statement by the organization’s manager Siddhant “Sid” Joshi. “S8UL in VALORANT, hopefully, maybe,” he said while live streaming on YouTube. “We have been discussing it. If everything goes right, we will get into VALORANT.”
He doubled down with a follow-up statement on Twitter not long after. “You want to see us in VALORANT, and we hear you. Believe me, if there was a lineup or player worth signing, I would have annoyed the owners into signing them by now. Be patient, We are looking into VALORANT.”
Mumbai-based S8ul Esports was formed by an alliance between two major organizations, Team SouL and 8bit, owned by India’s top esports personalities Naman “Mortal” Sandeep Mathur, Animesh “Thug” Agarwal, and Lokesh “Goldy” Jain.
Home to many popular content creators in the Indian gaming community to create content under one roof, it quickly garnered notoriety and most recently became the first-ever esports group in India to become a finalist in the “Content Group of the Year” category presented by Esports Awards. In addition, Mortal has been nominated for the “Esports Personality of the Year” category
