As the Saturday Spike Club continues to move along, VALO2ASIA will provide you a recap of the tournaments presented by Epulze and VALO2ASIA throughout the first month.
Each week will give the first 32 teams a chance to join the single-elimination best-of-one (BO1) community tournament exclusively on the EPULZE platform. A US$100 prize pool will be on the line. It’s a winner-takes-all gauntlet to really groom your tournament stamina, but at the same time, it’s about enjoying the weekend and giving your player journey something to focus on.
Servers available are Hong Kong, Mumbai, Sydney, Singapore, and Tokyo.
Saturday Spike Club – Week 1
While the first week of the SSC coincided with the final of the VCT Stage 3 – SEA Challengers Playoffs, the event drew a massive crowd of 30 teams from seven countries, including Team SMG, the runner-up of First Strike MY/SG. Following a tense fight on Saturday, Team South Mumbai Gaming came out and finished strong against Singaporean derby Team SMG on Icebox 13-9.
Saturday Spike Club – Week 2
The second week of the US$100 tournament witnessed the birth of a new champion, with Saber Dynasty taking first place with an emphatic 13-2 victory against Public Enemies.
Saturday Spike Club – Week 3
After missing the second week, Team South Mumbai Gaming remain undefeated in the SSC by defeating the Philippines’ LSE. The Singaporean side continues to annihilate opponents in best-of-one competitions, coming away with two championships so far.
Saturday Spike Club – Week 4
For the fourth week, 23 teams registered to take part in the tournament. LSE, the previous runner-up, headed home early as they were eliminated in the second round by Team Matrix, ensuring that the trophy would go to a new team. Another Filipino rivalry between Venom Xi and Black Order resulted in the latter team winning the event in their tournament debut.
