Youngster Kim “BeomJun” Beom-jun has been shown the door without a single match played under the T1 banner.
SOUTH KOREA – T1 have announced that Kim “BeomJun” Beom-jun is no longer on the roster heading into the VCT Pacific league, with former DWG KIA (now Dplus KIA) and Gen.G player Kang “iNTRO” Seung-gyun taking his place on the squad.
This move marks iNTRO’s return to activity after parting ways with Gen.G in December last year. His two-month-long tenure with Korea’s other partnered team was relatively uneventful, with the 21-year-old leaving before the team’s debut at the Gwangju Esports Series Korea.

T1’s decision to replace BeomJun with a more experienced player like iNTRO indicates that the organization is keen on adding value to their team by bringing in players who have already proven themselves at the highest level of Korean and Japanese domestic competition.
BeomJun’s professional debut was short-lived. Before signing with T1, BeomJun was a completely unknown quantity, with no experience playing at the top level of Korean domestic competition. This move might be interpreted as a shift in T1’s philosophy as they prioritize experience over potential in talent as the Pacific league nears.
The newly revamped T1 roster got off to an unfortunate start in their kickoff campaign at VCT LOCK//IN, with a one-sided loss at the hands of FURIA, 0-2 (Pearl 7-13, Icebox 5-13). iNTRO’s experience playing for DWG KIA, REJECT, ENTER FORCE.36, and others will need to be leveraged by T1 as they look to make a better start to their campaign in the upcoming VCT Pacific league.
As a result, T1’s roster is now:
- 🇰🇷 Son “xeta” Seon-ho
- 🇰🇷 Byeon “Munchkin” Sang-beom
- 🇺🇸 Joseph “ban” Seungmin Oh
- 🇰🇷 Ha “Sayaplayer” Jung-woo
- 🇰🇷 Lee “Carpe” Jae-hyeok
- 🇰🇷 Kang “iNTRO” Seung-gyun
- 🇰🇷 Yoon “Autumn” Eu-teum (Head coach)
- 🇨🇦 Dakota “Stunner” MacLeod (Assistant coach)
