Kim “t3xture” Na-ra and Kim “Karon” Won-tae have inked a new deal with Gen.G, ensuring they’ll compete under the organization for at least one more year.
SOUTH KOREA – Kim “t3xture” Na-ra and Kim “Karon” Won-tae have reaffirmed their futures to Gen.G for the 2025 season, with the Korean organization confirming contract renewals for both players that will keep them with the team through the upcoming year.
As of now, it is unclear who will be joining the duo next year, as Gen.G have announced that Byeon “Munchkin” Sang-beom, Kim “Lakia” Jong-min, and Kim “Meteor” Tae-o are now free agents. These players were only signed for the 2024 season, but Gen.G have indicated they are “continuously in talks” regarding the possibility of their return for the next season.
t3xture and Karon have both flown the Gen.G flag since joining for the 2024 season. t3xture had just returned to a fully Korean roster after playing with the international squad of Global Esports in 2023 mostly as a Sentinel player, while Karon was discovered by Kim “HSK” Hae-seong in ranked matches before landing his first professional signing with Gen.G.

Together, they’ve formed one of the most successful rosters in the Pacific region, winning the region’s first international trophy in Shanghai and finishing as runners-up in Madrid. t3xture went on to become the Pacific’s Duelist of the Year, while Karon is now widely recognized as one of the best rookies in esports after an incredible professional debut this year.
“We are excited to announce that we have re-signed ‘t3xture’! As one of the world’s premier offensive players, we’re looking forward to the 2025 season with him. Please be with us during this exciting season,” the announcement reads.
In related news, coach HSK has also been re-signed as the team’s strategy coach, allowing him to continue working with head coach Kang “solo” Keun-chul, whose contract also runs through 2025. There is a potential for the remaining three players of Gen.G to be re-signed if the renegotiation process goes smoothly, which would see the Masters Shanghai champions roster fully reunited.
