Talon Esports have less than a week left to prepare for their debut at the 2023 ESL Clash of Nations, which will take place from November 24-26.
THAILAND – Talon Esports have announced the addition of three new players, Joseph “ban” Seungmin Oh, Lionel “lenne” Lim, and Peter “Governor” No on the team’s official roster.
The addition of the three players is part of a major restructuring of Talon Esports, a process that began in September with the departure of players Itthirit “foxz” Ngamsaard, Panyawat “sushiboys” Subsiriroj, head coach Yuttanagorn “Zeus” Kaewkongyai, and, more recently, Apiwat “garnetS” Apiraksukumal.

ban puts pen to paper with Talon Esports for 2024 after spending the previous season with T1, who had a relatively successful end of year finishing third in the VCT Pacific League and subsequent qualifications for Masters Tokyo and Champions LA. In addition to moving back to Seoul with this new team, the 23-year-old will reunite with Peter “Governor” No, his former teammate from their time competing together in the Squirtle Squad in 2021.
Governor was just spotted last month spending his time in South Korea, where the VCT Pacific League will kick off for its second year. It remains unknown if Governor will be classified as an import player or if he holds a South Korean residency visa, much like how Russel “Russ” Mendes has Indian citizenship while playing for Global Esports. He is of full Korean descent but was born in Virginia.
Governor most recently played for Turtle Troop (formerly Squirtle Squad) and took part in the first and second splits of North American Challengers, which saw some of the best teams from the second tier of competition go head-to-head. The team was on the verge of securing a deal with xQc, but the content creator unexpectedly pulled out of the agreement, shared by Governor in a past live stream.
Prior to the 2023 VCT season, the 20-year-old had been a sort of journeyman, playing for several North American teams over the years such as EZ5, OTW Esports, Nearest Airport, Complexity, and other teams for brief stints for community tournaments such as NSG and Knights. In addition, he was also known for his time as a streamer and content creator for Built By Gamers (BBG).
Completing the new signings for Talon Esports is Lionel “lenne” Lim, who makes his return to the VCT Pacific League after a stint with Team Secret as a substitute. In his nine-month tenure with the Filipino team, the Singaporean Initiator made his presence felt on just one map during the Regular Season of VCT Pacific. He was subbed in for Adrian “invy” Reyes during the upper semi-finals of VCT Pacific against DRX.
Before joining Team Secret, Lionel “lenne” Lim was a member of the Bleed Esports team, which came close to qualifying for the VALORANT Masters Reykjavík in 2022 but fell short in the final stages, losing to XERXIA. lenne will now have the chance to prove his worth as a part of the starting roster of Talon Esports in the second year of Pacific League.
The three new players will link up with Thanamethk “Crws” Mahatthananuyut, Patiphan “Patiphan” Chaiwong, and Jittana “JitboyS” Nokngam, the only remnants of the Talon Esports roster that finished ninth in the inaugural season of the VCT Pacific League.
However, Talon Esports have not yet provided an update on the replacement for head coach Zeus, who was released on the first day of the transfer window in September. Moreover, there is growing speculation regarding whether Talon Esports will make further additions to their roster, as well as more clarity on who among Patiphan and JitboyS will be in the starting five.
