The former Kingsmen player will take charge of the team moving forward as the new head coach alongside analyst Felipe “skyeSG” Lim.
INDIA – Orangutan have named Mathanraj “theDoctorr” Munisparan as the new head coach of their VALORANT squad, the organization announced last Friday. Felipe “skyeSG” Lim has also joined the team as an analyst to assist theDoctorr with coaching duties. The MY/SG duo are the latest international signings for the India-based organization as part of a restructuring effort that also saw them replace Yang “Persia” Zi-on with a former longtime player from Todak, Arsyad “aduka” Sazali.
Despite having no prior coaching experience, theDoctorr and skyeSG have been participating on the VALORANT Champions Tour circuit since First Strike MY/SG. The former previously played in MY/SG VALORANT at the highest level, playing for the likes of Malaysia’s Todak and Kingsmen before crossing borders to play for Action PH for VCT Philippines Stage 2 Challengers. Meanwhile, the latter’s most memorable run came with No Namers, when he helped the team finish third in VCT MY/SG Stage 1 Challengers and fourth in VCT MY/SG Stage 2 Challengers — a solid showing for an unsigned team.
