The victorious teams from the second and final Stage of VALORANT Challengers Oceania will earn the opportunity to represent Oceania at Ascension Pacific.
AUNZ – LetsPlayLive has announced full details regarding the upcoming VALORANT Challengers Oceania 2024 circuit, scheduled to unfold from March 4 to July 11.
The VALORANT Challengers Oceania 2024 tournament will feature a two-stage format, mirroring other sub-regions with a Promotion/Relegation stage sandwiched in between. The victorious teams from the second and final Stage will earn the opportunity to represent Oceania at Ascension Pacific.
The total prize pool amounts to US$40,000, evenly split between the two stages, equating to US$20,000 per stage. Winners will receive US$6,000, runners-up US$4,000, with the remainder of the top eight contestants for each stage sharing the remaining prize pool.

The qualifying process will kick off on March 4 featuring a week-long best-of-three, double-elimination bracket. Teams interested in participating can register for the open qualifier by visiting the LetsPlayLive website at this link.
Following the qualifying rounds, the top 14 teams will advance to the Group Stage, where they will be joined by two invited teams. The Group Stage will feature a GSL Swiss round-robin format, ultimately deciding the top eight teams that will move on to both Stage 1 Playoffs and Stage 2 Group Stage. Meanwhile, the bottom eight teams will have to fight for their Stage 2 campaign in the Promotion/Relegation Stage.
The Stage 1 Playoffs will feature a double-elimination, best-of-three bracket format, except for the best-of-five grand final, where the team from the winner’s bracket will enjoy a veto advantage. It’s worth noting that all teams at this stage, as previously mentioned, have already secured a position in Stage 2, where an Ascension berth becomes the coveted prize.
Teams that did not qualify for Stage 1 are required to participate in the Top Premier Division (Contender) for Episode 8 Act 2 and must finish in the Top 8 during the Premier Contender Playoff Tournament.
The Promotion/Relegation stage is structured as a best-of-three, double-elimination bracket. In this phase, the previously mentioned eight teams from the bottom half of Stage 1 standings will compete against eight teams from the Premier division for the eight spots in the Stage 2 Group Stage.
The start of VALORANT Challengers Oceania Stage 2 will involve another GSL Swiss round-robin format, unfolding over five days. The top eight teams will advance to the playoffs, where the format will mirror that of Stage 1. However, the best-of-five grand final also determines qualification and representation for Oceania at VCT Ascension Pacific.
The Qualifier and Group Stage matches in both stages will not be officially broadcast. Instead, these matches will be open to the community for casting. The official broadcast will exclusively cover the Playoff stages, with a total of eight broadcasts scheduled for each stage.
