Registration for the qualifier of VALORANT Challengers South Asia Split 1 is now open.
INDIA – NODWIN Gaming has revealed the registration process and details for the upcoming 2024 VALORANT Challengers South Asia circuit spanning from January to July. One team will secure the opportunity to represent the region in the Ascension Pacific event, vying for two sought-after spots in the prestigious VCT Pacific League.
The South Asian circuit will adopt a new format, different from other APAC sub-regions. It will divide Split 1 into two cups, namely Cup 1 and Cup 2, and introduce a Promotion/Relegation stage before reverting to the previous format of the Regular Season and Playoffs in Split 2. Teams will have the opportunity to accrue points as they navigate through the two Cups to determine the qualification for Split 2.
Premier contenders and Players who have achieved the Immortal 3 rank or above are eligible for the event to reflect the integration of the in-game system into the broader VCT ecosystem.

Taking place over a span of five days from January 22-26, the Open Qualifier for Cup #1 is set to feature teams competing in single-elimination, best-of-three matches. The outcome of these matches will decide the top-performing teams that will progress to the main event scheduled for February. Registration will remain open until January 21, closing just a day before the qualifier kicks off on the Mumbai server.
The Playoffs LAN segment of the event in India awaits the four leading teams emerging from the Main Event of Cup #1. The same goes for Cup #2, taking place in May and April, where an undisclosed number of top-performing teams from the points table, determined after the culmination of the second cup, will also progress to the Regular Season in Split 2.
Teams at the lower end of the standings in Split 1 will be granted an additional opportunity to secure a spot in the Regular Season. This will come through the Promotion/Relegation stage scheduled for May, where they will also battle with teams qualifying from the in-game Premier system.
The Regular Season during Split 2 will feature eight teams fighting for the six spots in the playoffs set to be held on LAN in India. There are still details awaiting confirmation for the event, specifically regarding formats and dates, which are anticipated to be revealed in the coming weeks. The presence of invited teams for various stages of the event remains under wraps at the time of publication.
