by Juandi June 16, 2021
by Juandi June 16, 2021

VALORANT, Riot’s first foray into the world of first-person shooters (FPS), has been a huge success so far. Not only is the game full of interesting agents and abilities, and action-filled gameplay, it can also be played on almost any modern computer. Riot Games confirmed on June 2, 2021, that an average of more than 14 million players from all four corners of the globe log in every month to play VALORANT. In this guide, we will walk you through all VALORANT requirements that Riot Games has set in place for you to be able to enjoy a smooth gaming experience.

PC Hardware Requirements:

  • Windows 7/8/10 64-bit
  • RAM 4GB
  • VRAM 1GB

Minimum Specs – 30fps

This is the minimum hardware required to run VALORANT and get a sense of how the gameplay works. However, with the outdated hardware listed here, you will struggle to finish a match at a satisfactory level. As the CPU and GPU were manufactured in 2008 and 2012 respectively, upgrading your hardware will go a long way in making improving your gaming experience.

CPU – Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
GPU – Intel HD 4000

Recommended Specs – 60fps

These requirements will guarantee that VALORANT runs somewhat smoothly. You will get about 60 frames per second in the game, which will allow you to enjoy all aspects of the game without any major difficulties.

CPU – Intel i3-4150
GPU – GeForce GT 730

High-End Specs – 144+ fps

With these listed components, you will be able to experience the full potential of VALORANT. Most modern gaming computers will be able to run VALORANT at 144fps or above.

CPU – Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz
GPU – GeForce GTX 1050Ti

How to maximize your FPS with old hardware

While older hardware will give you an unpleasant experience with sluggish and unresponsive gameplay, you may still try to optimize your hardware and settings to see if you can squeeze out extra performance. Keep in mind that the VALORANT requirements listed above are not the only considerations in determining how effectively VALORANT will operate on your computer. VALO2ASIA has also prepared a comprehensive 7-step guide to help you get the most out of your system for VALORANT.
