The second VCT Ascension Pacific event kicks off on September 20th. Here’s everything you need to know about the tournament taking place in Jakarta, Indonesia.
INDONESIA – VCT Ascension Pacific 2024 Jakarta kicks off on September 20th, with ten teams battling it out for a coveted spot in next season’s tier-one VCT Pacific League in Seoul.
All 10 sub-regions are sending their top teams from their Split 2 competitions, except for TW/HK, where circuit points determined the teams, and Thailand, which held an Ascension Qualifier Series with the Split 2 winner and top teams based on circuit points.
Originally set for Tokyo, the event was moved to Jakarta due to “a number of significant event production delays and tournament quality concerns.” Now, Indonesia’s capital city will witness one team rise to the tier-one league next year, joining Bleed Esports from Ascension Bangkok. The promoted team will get to prove themselves in the International League during the VCT season, enjoy similar league benefits, and compete for spots at Masters and Champions.
