The playoffs will be structured as a single-elimination bracket, following the same format as last year. Early playoff rounds will be best-of-three before culminating in a best-of-five grand final.
At the time of writing, Ganesh “SkRossi” Gangadhar’s Revenant Esports are the sole confirmed team for the event, having emerged from the South Asia region. Each of the ten regions will send their best representatives from their Split 2 competition, with the exception of TW/HK which will determine their representatives based on circuit points, and Thailand which will hold an Ascension Qualifier Series featuring the Split 2 winner and top teams from circuit points.
VCT Ascension Pacific Tokyo will be broadcast in eight languages: English, Korean, Japanese, Bahasa Indonesia, Thai, Vietnamese, Mandarin, and Hindi.
The winning team from Ascension 2024 will join Bleed Esports in the VCT Pacific League as Ascension representatives. Promoted teams will have the opportunity to prove themselves in the International Leagues during the VCT season, receive similar league benefits, and have an equal chance to qualify for Masters and Champions.
