China will be sending two representatives to the second international VALORANT tournament this year.
CHINA – In an official announcement today, VALORANT Esports confirmed that China will be sending two teams to compete in the upcoming VCT Masters in Tokyo, Japan. This news brings the total number of competing teams to twelve, with some of the world’s best teams set to compete against each other.
Upon the conclusion of the LOCK//IN tournament, A total of 30 VCT partnered teams will begin competing in the three prestigious international leagues: the Americas, Pacific, and EMEA. As per the qualifying structure, two leagues will qualify three teams each for the Tokyo event. The third league, whose team emerges as the victor of the LOCK//IN tournament, will secure an additional slot for the event and thus, have the privilege of sending four teams to represent the region.

With teams from around the world vying for the top spot, the addition of two teams from China will only add to the excitement. Masters Tokyo is set to take place from June 11th to June 25th.
The VALORANT Esports organization has yet to make an official announcement regarding the teams that will be representing the region in the upcoming competitive season. However, it is speculated that the selection process may be linked to the ongoing FGC VALORANT Invitational 2023. It is currently underway, with the first split of the league in the midst of its second qualifier out of a total of five. The ten teams that successfully advance through these qualifiers will compete in the main event.
