VALORANT Esports has announced the format and other details of the upcoming VCT Pacific league held in Seoul, South Korea.
SOUTH KOREA – VCT Pacific is set to take place at the Sangam Colosseum in Seoul, South Korea, where ten of Asia’s best teams will fight it out from March 25 to May 28 for their share of the US$250,000 prize pool and qualification into Masters Tokyo and Champions.
The competition will kick off with an eight-week league play featuring a best-of-three, single round-robin format. Matches will take place every Saturday, Sunday, and Monday at 5 PM SGT (UTC+8) starting from March 25. The league play will be followed by a super week consisting of five consecutive matches. This stage will cap off the league play, determining the top six teams that will advance to the playoffs.
The playoffs will run for six days, featuring a double-elimination bracket, where the top two teams from the group stage will automatically advance to the semi-finals. Meanwhile, the remaining four teams will start from the first round of the playoffs.
All matches will follow the BO3 format, except for the Lower Finals and Grand Finals, which will both be BO5s and held in the 4,500-capacity Jangchung Stadium. The top three teams from the playoffs will earn a spot for Masters Tokyo and Champions 2023, with the remaining teams competing in Last Chance Qualifiers for an opportunity to participate in the latter.
VCT Pacific will kick off on 25 March and run until 28 May. The tournament is structured in three stages:
- League Play: 25 March – 16 May
- Playoffs: 19 May – 22 May
- Semi & Grand Finals: 27 & 28 May
