The 2025 VCT Pacific season champions will be crowned in Tokyo, Japan’s capital city, during the VCT Pacific Stage 2 Finals.
JAPAN – Riot Games has officially confirmed that the 2025 VCT Pacific Stage 2 Finals (Season Finals) will take place in Tokyo, Japan, on August 30-31. The announcement was made by Jake Sin, Head of VALORANT Esports APAC, during the VCT Pacific Kickoff Pre-Event Press Conference in Seoul today.
This marks the first time the VCT Pacific Finals will be held outside of South Korea, following two seasons in the city of Seoul at various venues.
“Japan was such an obvious choice considering the amount of love and passion we have seen from our community there,” Jake Sin said. “As you know, we had Masters Tokyo in 2023 and we were just blown away by the amount of support and passion that the fans displayed, even without a Japanese team too. That kind of passion is so just special and we are so grateful to our Japanese community, so we wanted to bring another event to Japan as soon as possible.”
Furthermore, this will make VCT Pacific the first international league to host its event in a different country. The only other circuit to have made a similar move is the VCT CN League, which hosted its Stage 2 Finals last year in a different city, having a roadshow from Shanghai to Changsha.

Tokyo previously hosted an international VALORANT event in 2023, with the VALORANT Masters Tokyo, where FNATIC emerged as the champions. The sole Masters event of 2023 was also filled with memorable storylines, including Paper Rex’s incredible run with substitute Patiphan “CGRS” Posri and EDward Gaming’s surprising upset against heavy contenders. Tokyo was also initially set to host last year’s Ascension event, but it was later announced that the event would instead take place in Jakarta due to logistical issues.
The venue for the 2025 VCT Pacific Stage 2 Finals has not been disclosed yet, but it has been confirmed that it has already been secured. “We have already locked in a venue,” Jake Sin stated.
Gen.G claimed the title of champions for the 2024 VCT Pacific season, triumphing over DRX in the grand finals at the SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Seoul.
The 2025 VCT Pacific season will begin with a Kickoff taking place from January 18th to February 9th. This will determine the top two teams who will represent the Pacific region at VALORANT Masters Bangkok, which will be the only international event hosted in Asia this year before moving to Toronto, Canada, and ending the season in Paris, France.
