The VCT Pacific Stage 2 Playoffs will begin on Friday with Gen.G vs. RRQ and Team Secret vs. Talon Esports.
SOUTH KOREA – The playoffs bracket at VCT Pacific Stage 2 has been set after the Regular Season Week 4 Day 3 ended with Team Secret taking the third seed over Gen.G. While one more regular-season match between T1 and Bleed Esports is still to be played today, its outcome will not affect the playoffs as two teams have already been eliminated.
The playoffs feature six of the Pacific region’s top teams, with the 2024 VCT Pacific season champions set to be crowned on Sunday, July 21. The playoff stage kicks off with two single-elimination knockout matches for teams ranked third to sixth in the Regular Season, before transitioning to a double-elimination bracket where the top two seeds, Paper Rex and DRX, await.

The full bracket for the VCT Pacific Stage 2 Playoffs is as follows:
Gen.G will face Rex Regum Qeon in their fourth rematch this year, having met twice in KICKOFF and once in Stage 1, where the Indonesian side won the latter. The loser will be eliminated, and Gen.G risk missing out on qualifying for VALORANT Champions Seoul if Paper Rex also loses both of their opening playoff matches.
The winner will go on to face Paper Rex, the tournament favorites who have already secured their spot at Champions. This adds an intimidating aspect to facing a PRX team under reduced pressure. Meanwhile, If Gen.G take down RRQ, they will automatically qualify for Champions.
On one half of the bracket, Team Secret will face Talon Esports, following the Filipino side’s victory over Masters Shanghai champions Gen.G in the last week of the Regular Season. Adrian “invy” Reyes and his team are on a strong run, having defeated giants such as Gen.G and Paper Rex, but their history against Talon Esports shows they are still vulnerable.
Talon coach Hector “FrosT” Rosario has multiple times emphasized that qualifying for Champions is the team’s ultimate goal, so both teams will be giving their all in this high-stakes match. DRX will await the winner in the next round, where a potential Champions berth is on the line.
The final two days of VCT Pacific Stage 2, on July 20-21, will be held in front of a larger live audience at the iconic SK Olympic Handball Stadium, featuring best-of-five matches for both the Lower Final and Grand Final.
