APAC Predator League 2024 team list finalized
Sixteen teams from all around Asia have qualified for the 2024 APAC Predator League, with US$100,000 on offer.ย
PHILIPPINES โ Predator Gaming has announced the complete list of the 16 teams who will participate in the 2024 APAC Predator League, which is slated to take place in Manila, Philippines, from January 11 to 14.
The lineup for the tournament features teams from 13 different sub-regions. Team Secret stands out as the favorites, being the sole invitee from the VCT Pacific and the only team from that league participating. Other familiar teams include BOOM Esports and Orangutan, both of whom competed in this season's VCT Ascension Pacific.
Todak represented Malaysia and Oasis Gaming represented the Philippines at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games, while Oblivion Force (LGD Gaming) will enter the Manila event with experience from competing in the China Evolution Series Act 3.
The 16 teams will first be distributed into four groups of four, competing in round-robin, best-of-one matches on January 10-11. The winners of each group will advance to the playoffs.
The four-team playoff stage, taking place at the Mall of Asia Arena on January 13-14, will consist of a single-elimination, best-of-one bracket, except for the grand final, which will be a best-of-three format. The condensed format, seen as less than ideal by some, has become a topic of discussion in the community, as it's the first time such a format is being implemented on LAN for a tournament of this caliber.
