Rafi “frostmind” Diandra has finally put pen to paper on a contract with BOOM Esports.
BOOM Esports, who are currently ranked 13th in APAC according to VLR.gg’s team ranking, have announced the completion of Rafi “frostmind” Diandra’s addition from XcN Gaming as their new sentinel player. He will occupy the spot that has been vacant after Sheldon “NcSlasher” Andersen’s departure two weeks ago.
Frostmind’s addition to BOOM Esports marks the first step in the team’s preparation for the APAC Last Chance Qualifier contention. Frostmind’s move to BOOM was initially leaked when he accidentally appeared on one of the BOOM players’ live streams at the team’s gaming house.
Frostmind has spent the year in the limelight as a member of two of Indonesia’s upper-echelon teams: Alter Ego and XcN Gaming. He was a part of the original Alter Ego lineup with BerserX, 3nable, and others until joining XcN Gaming in March of this year. During his tenure with XcN, frostmind aided the team in consistently appearing in the first and second weeks of VCT Indonesia Stage 3, before failing to qualify for the final week after their defeat against BEAST in the open qualifier.
“Frostmind will be replacing the vacant position from the recently departed NcSlasher. We’re excited to see his talents put into play with his debut match in the Last Chance Qualifier Valorant Champions on the 11th of October!” the announcement reads.

Moreover, the squad is likely to announce two additional players in the near future, as Gary Ongko Putera, CEO of BOOM Esports, have hinted two weeks ago on his Instagram.
Frostmind will have a baptism of fire for BOOM as he will make his first appearance in the Asia-Pacific Last Chance Qualifier, which is set to run from October 11-17. BOOM are set to take on Japan’s FENNEL in the first round of the double-elimination tournament.
