The former Paper Rex player will make his comeback under the local Made in Thailand banner after four years away.
THAILAND – Patiphan “CGRS” Posri is making his way back to competitive play as he links up once again with Made in Thailand (MiTH). The former Paper Rex player will make his comeback to the banner he previously represented between 2017 and 2019 playing in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, PUBG PC, and Apex Legends.
This move not only marks CGRS’ fourth professional title with MiTH but also brings him back together with a couple of familiar faces from his days in Counter-Strike.
Nantapol “Kongared” Boonying, coach Piyangoon “MYM” Kitisin, and CGRS had previously competed together under the MiTH banner together, with their most notable achievement being the victory at the 2018 SEA Fire Championship in Hanoi, Vietnam. Furthermore, CGRS and Krit “Kntz” Chaiprasit were part of the same team representing Thailand in The World Championships 2016 Qualifier.
In his new team, he will fill the position of Chinnakrit “seph1roth” Phoojaroen, whom MiTH had borrowed from CRIT Esports just a month earlier to compete in the AfreecaTV VALORANT League Thailand Qualifier.
CGRS recently decided to step down from Paper Rex after spending the 2023 season with the Singapore-based organization primarily in Seoul. Together, they clinched the Pacific League, secured a second-place finish at VALORANT Masters Tokyo, and advanced to the finals at VALORANT Champions Los Angeles. He stepped up significantly in his role at VALORANT Masters Tokyo, taking up the mantle in the absence of star player Ilia “something” Petrov for the tournament’s duration.
In what was his last match with Paper Rex at the lower final of VALORANT Masters Tokyo against 2023 world champions Evil Geniuses, the versatility of CGRS was on full display by utilizing five different Initiator agents across five maps.
Made in Thailand will make their debut with CGRS back under their banner at the 2024 Predator League Thailand. The tournament will feature a prize of TH฿250,000 and a sought-after spot in the APAC Predator League. The opening match is scheduled for tomorrow, September 24, at 11:30 PM SGT, against Sdobbies.
