No more hfmi0dzjc9z7, it’s only zjc now.
CHINA – EDward Gaming have officially signed Zhang “hfmi0dzjc9z7” Juncheng (now zjc) from TYLOO as the latest addition to their roster. The announcement confirms ongoing speculation over the past two weeks, after the player was spotted at EDG’s headquarters during a livestream clip that circulated across Chinese forums.
Now joining the reigning 2024 VALORANT world champions, the former Attacking Soul Esports member has also updated his in-game name to “zjc”, a shortened form of his real name. It remains unclear whom zjc is set to replace or whether EDG will operate with a six-man roster moving forward.
zjc is best known for his stint with Attacking Soul Esports before the VCT CN era, having made his international debut at Masters Tokyo alongside Qu “Life” Donghao who now plays for FunPlus Phoenix. He later moved to TYLOO ahead of the 2024 season, though the team struggled throughout last year and in the recent 2025 season, finishing dead last in both Kickoff and Stage 1.

The Chinese powerhouse hit the panic button after missing out on their first-ever international appearance, falling to Bilibili Gaming in the VCT CN Stage 1 Finals in Beijing, a loss that ultimately cost them a spot at Masters Toronto.
EDward Gaming will debut their updated roster in the VCT CN Stage 2 Group Stage on Thursday, July 3rd at 19:00 GMT+8, where they’ll face off against Guo “Haodong” Haodong’s Titan Esports Club.
In related EDG news, assistant coach Liu “Century” Shiji was not included in EDward Gaming’s roster for the upcoming EWC VALORANT event and was recently removed from the VCT Global Contract Database.
EDward Gaming now have the following players:
- Wan “CHICHOO” Shunzhi (万顺治)
- Wang “nobody” Senxu (王森旭)
- Zheng “ZmjjKK” Yongkang (郑永康)
- Zhang “Smoggy” Zhao (张钊)
