Deryeon will continue his stint with Global Esports in VCT Pacific Stage 1.
SOUTH KOREA – Derrick “Deryeon” Yee will remain in Global Esports’ active roster for the upcoming VCT Pacific Stage 1, the organization has confirmed in a Twitter post.
Global Esports initially called upon the former Bleed Esports and DSG player to serve as a backup at VCT Pacific Kickoff after it became apparent patrickWHO would not resolve his visa issues in time for the event. However, it appears those issues will continue even into the Regular Season.
This situation is reminiscent of their inaugural VCT Pacific season in 2023 when visa complications forced Ganesh “SkRossi” Gangadhar and Abhirup “Lightningfast” Choudhury to miss the first three weeks of play.

“We built a roster then had to make a change due to visa issues,” coach Donnie “Elevated” Chell said. “Integrate a new player, and change two people’s roles, that’s just something that we’re going to have to deal with going forward, even in Stage 1, because we still don’t really know if we’re going to get patrickWHO here to Korea.
“And so we’re going to continue moving forward with Derrick (Deryeon), who is a great teammate. He brought a really good attitude, really good work ethic, flexibility, and his willingness to kind of do whatever it takes for the team. We’re just going to use our time as efficiently as possible, and whatever happens with our roster will happen and whatever we have Deryeon or patrickWHO or whoever is playing for us, we’re going to be ready to hit the ground running in Stage 1.
Deryeon spent the past three seasons with Bleed Esports, where he helped the team win the 2023 VCT Ascension Pacific event and secure a spot in the VCT Pacific League for two seasons. In 2024, BLEED finished at the bottom of the standings, and the following season, they were demoted ahead of schedule after failing to meet Riot Games’ administrative “obligations” and “critical requirements.”

During the OFF//SEASON, Deryeon joined DSG, finding success in the tier-two scene once again with victories in VALORANT Challengers SEA Split 3, One Game Showdown, and Predator League Singapore. His arrival at Global Esports led to some role adjustments, with Deryeon taking on the Sentinel position while UdoTan transitioned to Duelist.
VCT Pacific Stage 1 is set to run from March to May, based on VCT CN’s announced start date—currently the only region with a confirmed schedule.
Global Esports will continue to field the following roster in VCT Pacific Stage 1:
- 🇷🇺 Savva “Kr1stal” Fedorov
- 🇵🇭 Kelly “kellyS” Sedillo
- 🇰🇷 Go “UdoTan” Kyung-won
- 🇵🇭 Federico “Papi” Evangelista
- 🇸🇬 Derrick “Deryeon” Yee
- 🇺🇸 Preston ”Juv3nile” Dornon (Head Coach)
- 🇺🇸 Donnie “Elevated” Chell (Coach)
