The Gwangju Esports Series (GES) Asia is back for its second edition in VALORANT, bringing together four top-tier teams from the Pacific and CN regions.
SOUTH KOREA – Gwangju Esports Series (GES) Asia returns in 2024 as an OFF//SEASON VALORANT tournament, offering a total prize pool of KR₩40,000,000 (~US$30,000).
The second edition of GES Asia in VALORANT will be held once again at the Gwangju Esports Arena on November 2-3, featuring four invited teams from the APAC region: Korea’s Gen.G and T1, and China’s EDward Gaming and Trace Esports.
Tickets will go on sale starting October 18th via Ticketlink, with more details to be announced in the coming days.
The tournament format is still under wraps, but it may follow a similar structure to the 2022 edition. In that event, DRX, Talon Esports, ZETA DIVISION, and Gen.G competed in a four-team tournament over two days, using a single-elimination bracket along with a third-place decider. DRX ultimately took home the first-place prize, defeating the Thai team Talon Esports in the finals.

T1 are taking a new direction for the upcoming season by shifting back to an all-Korean lineup. This change includes bringing Ko “Sylvan” Young-sub back from China and adding two new coaching staff members: Seol “indigo” Do-hoon and Lee “CheongGak” Il-ho.
Trace Esports will be making their OFF//SEASON debut, led by star player Song “FengF” Xuefeng. They are also returning to Seoul after finishing 7th-8th at VALORANT Champions 2024, where they defeated EMEA giants Team Vitality and the overwhelming favorites, LEVIATAN, in the Group Stage.
