Abigail “Kohaibi” Kong, formerly of Team SMG and BOBA, is making the move out of the SEA circuit this season, crossing over to compete in China with ALG GC.
CHINA – Ambitions Legend Gaming GC (ALG GC) have officially signed Abigail “Kohaibi” Kong, a former player for Team SMG and BOBA, ahead of the VCT Game Changers China Stage 1. The Singaporean talent joins returning ALG GC members Lai “Laiyin” Yin and Wang “Yusin” Chiyun, previously of Chao Hui EDG.
Kohaibi has already arrived in China and will make her debut with the team at the upcoming aforementioned event taking place from April 27 to May 18. The tournament will also reunite her with former Team SMG teammate Kelly “shirazi” Jaudian, who now plays for Nova Esports GC—one of the other teams invited to the main event.

This marks Kohaibi’s return to competition after her last stint with BOBA in the 2024 season, where she helped secure second and third place finishes in Stages 1 and 2, and a 5-6th place finish at GC Pacific in Thailand. During the OFF//SEASON, she also competed in the Spotlight Series Pacific co-ed event with Paper Rex, emerging victorious over her former teammates on the Xipto x GE squad.
Before BOBA, Kohaibi led Team SMG through an undefeated 2023 APAC season as their in-game leader, ultimately finishing fourth at the 2023 VALORANT Game Changers Championship.
Her standout performance at the APAC Elite qualifier—where she recorded a 1.50 VLR rating across 145 rounds—helped the team earn a spot at the São Paulo world championship and earned her the title of Best APAC Game Changers Player of 2023 by The VALO2ASIA Awards.
It has also been confirmed that the team will continue communicating in Mandarin.

Last year, ALG GC represented China at the 2024 Game Changers Championship in Berlin with Thai duo Sarindhorn “JinNy” Wanothayarnchai and Chalita “Muffyn” Buathong. However, back-to-back 2-0 losses to Falcons Vega and GIANTX GC ended their run early, placing them 9th-10th in their international debut.
ALG GC now have:
- Abigail “Kohaibi” Kong
- Lai “Laiyin” Yin
- Wang “Yusin” Chiyun
- “Elina“
- “End3“
- “x1aoWeNz“
- “Cudi” (Coach)
