MLT Esports will no longer be represented by their Indian roster.
INDIA – MLT Esports have decided to release their roster following the conclusion of their VCL South Asia campaign. It follows their run in the VCL South Asia Split 2 Regular Season, where the team finished 9-10th after losses to Revenant Esports, Orangutan, Velocity Gaming, and Reckoning Esports.
All five players and the coach have been released from their contracts, allowing them to explore their options in the market as free agents. Statements made on the players’ Twitter accounts have indicated that they will not be sticking together and instead opt to seek out individual offers.
In a statement, the Bangladeshi organization cited the lack of tournaments available for the next few months as the reason for releasing the team. “But we assure our supporters that we will be back for next quarter, stronger, bigger, and you might see some old faces. Till then, we have decided to continue with a new VALORANT Roster. The fun won’t stop, we’ll be announcing our new VALORANT roster soon, trust us, it’s a big surprise. Till then, keep spreading love and keep supporting us.”

MLT Esports earned their way into the South Asian league in the open qualifier of Split 1, where they secured promotion by defeating Team Ethics, Goblin Attackers, and OR5. However, after encountering visa issues that prevented them from keeping an Indian-Filipino mix, MLT Esports made changes to their roster, bringing in Jay “BADlove” Patil and Atharv “Rio” Ahire to replace Simon “Blas” Blas and Troy “Yort” Hiramia prior to the main event.
Despite their efforts, the team struggled to compete against the upper echelons of the Indian scene, with only one regular-season victory over GodLike Esports and finishing in 7th-8th place.
Following the first split, MLT Esports made the decision to bench Saharyar “BadmaN” Shaikh in favor of former FS Esports player Shubham “CortezZ” Chhatre. Despite making changes to their roster, the team found themselves placed in a highly competitive group, often referred to as the “group of death” in VCL South Asia Split 2, winning only one map out of the nine played in the regular season against Revenant Esports in Week 1. There they suffered losses to Revenant Esports, Orangutan, Velocity Gaming, and Reckoning Esports on their way to a last-place finish.
