The former FunPlus Phoenix coach Deng “NaThanD” Senqiao has found a new home with Dragon Ranger Gaming (DRG).
CHINA – Dragon Ranger Gaming (DRG) have announced the addition of Deng “NaThanD” Senqiao to their roster, with the ex-FunPlus Phoenix head coach set to lead the 2023 Ascension CN winners’ efforts in the VCT CN League.
NaThanD’s arrival solidifies DRG’s coaching lineup, with Huang “LT” Biaohong and Han “JKH” Fei remaining as part of the staff. This move expands the team’s total roster to ten members, consisting of seven players and three coaching staff members.

Before joining Dragon Ranger Gaming, NaThanD spent two years with FunPlus Phoenix, standing behind the team throughout five international appearances, including all three events last year in Madrid, Shanghai, and Seoul.
FPX became known for their bold and unconventional strategies, such as triple-smoke agent compositions, particularly when up against international opponents. One of FPX’s most memorable moments under NaThanD came at VALORANT Masters Shanghai, where they pushed both eventual finalists, Gen.G and Team Heretics, to the brink of elimination.
Now at the helm of Dragon Ranger Gaming, NaThanD faces new and greater responsibilities. As DRG enter their final year in the VCT CN League, the pressure is on to deliver strong results. Their future in the league—and the possibility of renewal—hinges on their performance throughout the season. Securing a spot at VALORANT Champions Paris will mean renewal for the next season.
In addition to NaThanD, DRG have also signed two substitutes: duelist Wang “Ying” Chenxu and initiator “baize”.
The complete Dragon Ranger Gaming roster is:
- Shao “Nicc” Yi-chun
- Ilya “vo0kashu” Ushakov
- Lin “SpiritZ1” Ding-yu
- Cheng “Cangshu” Yu-chun
- Luo “Flex1n” Rui
- Wang “Ying” Chenxu
- “baize”
- Deng “NaThanD” Senqiao (Head coach)
- Huang “LT” Biaohong (Coach)
- Han “JKH” Fei (Coach)
